Innovation is Love™

The operating framework behind TalentSplit. Define the services the market needs first. Build everything else backward from there.

The traditional model is broken.

For the last fifty years, workforce development has flowed in one direction: Plan, then Funding, then Knowledge, then Transition, then Work, then Operations, and finally, Services.

Workforce planning relies on historical job trends rather than current and emerging service delivery models, creating demand signals that are already outdated by the time they reach training programs. Shrinking capital continues to flow into programs built on those outdated assumptions, scaling training that’s misaligned with what businesses actually need.

Training emphasizes theoretical knowledge over applied skills. Measurement methods fail to reflect real proficiency. Individuals enter the workforce underprepared, lowering output and increasing employer costs. Employers respond by reducing hiring or leaning on AI rather than developing the people in front of them. Operations get built by people lacking real proficiency or relying on AI to compensate.

The result: a constrained supply of service-ready talent. Limited delivery capacity. Communities that can’t afford the services they need.

Right to Left. The reversal.

We reverse the flow. Services first. Everything else backward from there. And the cycle funds the next round of talent.

01

Services

Define and deliver the services the community actually needs. Everything else flows backward from real delivery, not from forecasts.

02

Work

People develop by doing the work. Emerging talent builds real proficiency by delivering services under senior oversight: the work is the classroom.

03

Knowledge

Knowledge transfers through delivery. Skills pass from practitioner to talent in the act of serving real customers, not through abstract credentials.

04

Planning

Plan how to scale from what’s working (the services being delivered now), not from outdated job-trend data.

05

Funding

Service revenue funds the next level of workers. Every engagement pays the next cohort forward, and the cycle begins again.

How it works in three legs.

The Right to Left model produces an ecosystem with three connected legs. Each leg supports the others; revenue flows through the system to fund the next cohort.

Retail & Community Services

The front door. Events, shared services, and partner trades that bring guests to the building and create the customer base that funds everything else. Community events, art galleries, food festivals, music. Partner services like surfboard repair, eBike work, restaurants, and trades.

TalentSplit’s role: hosting events at The Visionary, coordinating partner integrations.

Innovation Building Services

The infrastructure. Coworking space, event rental, and the structured paths talent uses to enter the workforce: unpaid internships, paid internships, apprenticeships, and direct employment.

TalentSplit’s role: The Visionary venue (coworking, event space) plus the apprenticeship and employment pathways behind our professional services.

Proficiency Development Services

The development engine. Measurement (Tech Proficiency Score), structured learning (in-person and online courses), and the support services that make development accessible: clothing, food, transportation, mental and physical health.

Delivered by: CyberForward Academy ↗, through TPS Report ↗ and integrated coaching. TalentSplit funds a portion of every service engagement back into this leg.

The flow.

Guests come to The Visionary for events and community. They use shared services as businesses or individuals. They get exposure to professional service work happening around them.

Along the way, every guest and customer has access to proficiency development: measurement first, then development plans, then real practice. Performance support removes the barriers that usually block people from completing development paths.

As proficiency develops, structured employment opportunities open. Internships become apprenticeships. Apprenticeships become full-time roles. The talent that delivers tomorrow’s services is shaped by today’s service delivery.

A percentage of all service revenue, plus optional customer contributions, flows back into community development, funding the next cohort of training, the next round of school integrations, the next set of barrier-removal services for people who can’t otherwise participate.

Why it matters.

Innovation is Love™ is why our pricing works. Tactical services at SMB-friendly rates fund the development that creates the next generation of talent. The community that hires us shapes the community that we develop. The development we deliver shapes the talent that serves the community next.

Every service engagement is a vote for that cycle.
